Frequently asked questions about referrals

In this article, you will learn about some frequently asked questions about referrals.

My referral was hired but their status does not reflect that in ERIN. What happened?

The answer to this question depends on the candidate's current status on your My Referrals tab. See below for explanations for each status:

Referred

If your candidate's status is still Referred, then your candidate never accepted their referral from the referral link you sent them. Because of this, we were unable to link their application to their referral. In these situations, we recommend contacting your talent acquisition or recruitment team, whose contact information you can find in the bonus policy listed on your Dashboard.

Accepted or Not Hired

If your candidate's status is Accepted, then one of two things may have happened. Your referral may have applied with a different email address than the one they used to accept their referral, which would cause ERIN to be unable to link their application to their referral, or they may have been referred after they had already applied. In both of these situations, you will need to contact your recruitment or talent acquisition teams to request a manual review of the referral. You can typically find their contact information in the bonus policy listed on your Dashboard.

Applied, Interviewing, or any status beyond Accepted

While ERIN's integrations are reliable, sometimes we do not receive the necessary information to update a candidate's status on the candidate feed your company provides us. When these data errors happen, we recommend contacting ERIN Support, either using the chat bubble in the bottom-right of the screen in the browser experience or through the Help & Support tab in the mobile app, to request a review of your referral.

Ineligible

Every company's bonus policy is different. You can view a brief explanation about your referral's ineligibility by hovering over the icon next to the Ineligible status on your My Referrals page. If you believe your referral is marked Ineligible in error, you will need to contact your Recruitment or Talent Acquisition team, whose contact information you can find in the bonus policy listed on your Dashboard.
